Neiphiu Rio is an indian politician and the he is a member of parliament representing nagaland in lok sabha. he was the chief minister os nagaland for three terms making him the only nagaland chie minister to have served three consecutive terms. Neiphiu Rio joining politics was first elected to nagaland legislativfe assembly as congress candidate from the northern angami 2 constituency during the 7th deneral elections of 1989. he was appointed as the minister for sports and school education and subsequently as minister for higher and technical education and arrt and culture also served as chairman in nagaland.
