Akhil Akkineni is an Indian film actor. He is works in the Telugu film industry. Akhil made his acting debut as a baby who leaves his come in the comedy film Sisindri aged one. He has made a small appearance in 2014 film Manam. He is also the captain of the CCL cricket team Telugu Warriors and has won CCL 2016. He has made his Tollywood lead debut with 2015 movie Akhil The power of Jua. His performance in the matches saw him called up to play for the Telugu Warriors in the inaugural Celebrity Cricket League during 2011 and he has since regulary participated in the tournament and won the 2015 edition as captaion of his team.
Akhil Akkineni was born on 8 April 1994 in San Jose, California. Akhil is the son of Akkineni Nagarjuna and his second wife Amala. His elder half brother Naga Chaitanya is also an actor. He is the grandson of actor and film producer Akkineni Nageswara Rao. Akhil started his education at Chaitanya Vidyalaya before heading to study in Australia for two years and returned to complete his studies at Oakridge International School, Hyderabad. Akhil Akkineni revealed that he chose to pursue acting as a career aged 16 and thus turned down his father request for him to study business management and instead enrolled in an acting course at Lee Strasbarg Theatre and Film Institute in New York. He is also the Captain of the CCL cricket team Telugu Warriors he won ccl 2016.
